I am a voice and accent coach, professional singer, and voiceover actor with an MFA in Voice Studies and a BFA in Musical Theater. Since 2019, I have been working with actors and executives worldwide, providing private and group sessions both in-person and online, including weekly public speaking classes for international executives through Community Online Academy.
Since 2018, I have been an active member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) having served on the Junior Board, as an assistant archivist and website administrator, and as Chair of BizCore, VASTA's interest group focused on the business of freelance voice coaching and the coaching of executives. Most recently, I co-directed VASTA's 2-day virtual symposium “In/corporate Voice” in the summer of 2024, scheduling 48 hours of continuous live programming catering to participants worldwide.
Other contributions to VASTA have been for their academic journal, the Voice and Speech Review (VSR) where I have published five articles to date. Most notably, my solo article, "Bridging the Gap between Voice Coaches and Sound Designers in the Theatre", adapted from my master's dissertation, was awarded VASTA's Rocco Dal Vera Graduate Research Award in 2022.
When I am not coaching, teaching, or writing, I am an occasional lead vocalist for 24K Event Band in the Washington, DC area and am part of a musical duo called Shore Love with guitarist Adrien Baldwin. (See video below. For inquiries, contact Adrien at theguitourist@gmail.com.) I have performed on tour in the US with TheatreworksUSA, as a singer and dancer for Royal Caribbean International, and have been a regular voice actor for TheSoul Publishing since 2021 on shows including Slick Slime Sam and Viv and Denny.
As a second generation Cuban American who spent my childhood living in the Middle East, I am committed to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in all aspects of my life and practice.
